Woolwich: The Metropolitan Police announced today that no arrests have been made in the murder investigation of Kelyan Bokassa. This tragic event has left the community shaken.

Officers rushed to Woolwich Church Street around 2:30 PM on January 7 after reports of a stabbing. Sadly, they found Kelyan, just 14 years old, injured and he died at the scene.

This incident was particularly alarming as it was the second stabbing in Woolwich within just 24 hours. An 18-year-old was also critically injured nearby.

Kelyan’s mother, Mary Bokassa, shared that her son had been targeted by gangs since he was six. He had a tough upbringing and had even spent time living on the streets in London.

The young aspiring rapper had recently gotten into trouble with the law and was supposed to appear in court the day after his murder for having an offensive weapon.

Court documents revealed he was allegedly caught with a machete at Ravensbourne College last May. He had also released a music video where he portrayed gang life.

In the days following his death, disturbing rap lyrics surfaced online, detailing the attack on the bus. Many fear this murder is part of ongoing gang turf wars in the area.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to reach out to the police at 101, referencing case number 3795/07JAN25.
