A brave Met Police officer tackled a knife-wielding robber in Lewisham. The incident, caught on CCTV, highlights the officer’s quick response to a violent crime.

Lewisham: A police officer showed incredible bravery recently. CCTV footage captured him tackling a man armed with a knife. It all happened at M&S Simply Food on Lee High Road.
PC Morgan Younger was just grabbing a drink when he noticed trouble. A man was threatening another person with a big knife. Without thinking twice, PC Younger jumped in to help.
The attacker had the victim by the throat and was trying to stab him. But PC Younger quickly disarmed the suspect all on his own. He then called for backup while holding the man down.
Within five minutes, more officers arrived to assist. The suspect, a man in his 60s, was arrested for attempted murder and possession of a weapon. They also found drugs at his home, leading to more charges.
Luckily, the victim, who is in his 40s, wasn’t hurt during the ordeal. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Jon Savell praised PC Younger’s quick thinking and bravery. He emphasized how proud the Met is of officers like him.
