Nottingham: A couple of teenagers got arrested after a girl was attacked during a robbery. It all went down on a side street off Canal Street.

The girl said she was punched and kicked before they snatched her phone. This happened around 4:20 PM on January 27, and she ended up with some facial injuries.

Police acted quickly and checked out a place in Loughborough a few hours later. They arrested an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl on suspicion of robbery.

Detective Sergeant Frank Guddemi from Nottinghamshire Police said it was a horrible attack. He mentioned how serious robbery is and how it can really affect someone emotionally.

He was glad they found and arrested the suspects but reminded everyone that the investigation is still ongoing. They want anyone who saw anything or has footage to come forward.

Interestingly, this attack happened just a day after another robbery where a woman in her 40s was targeted by a group of youths. That incident took place on a canal towpath behind Nottingham Crown Court.

The woman reported that money was taken from her, and she also got hurt. Just a week before, a 14-year-old boy had a humiliating robbery in Clifton where his head was shaved.

If you know anything about the girl’s attack, call the police at 101 and mention incident 490 from January 27. You can also reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111. For the other incident, use incident number 0104 from January 28.
