Italy: The search for two British hikers, Sam Harris and Aziz Ziriat, has been ongoing for over a week in the Dolomite mountains. They were last seen on January 1 and didn’t make their flight home on January 6.

Sadly, a body believed to be Sam Harris was found on January 8. Reports say it was identified by local authorities. The two men, both from London, were hiking near a mountain hut close to Tione Di Trento.

After a break due to bad weather, the search for Aziz resumed. A spokesperson from the rescue team mentioned that they’re using canine units and have about 30 rescuers on the ground.

Palace For Life, the charity linked to Crystal Palace FC, expressed their sorrow over the news of Sam’s recovery. They shared their condolences and mentioned they’re still waiting for updates on Aziz.

Authorities are looking into what happened, and the families have been kept in the loop. The Foreign Office is also providing support to the family of the deceased.
