Djanogly City Academy is celebrating an outstanding Ofsted rating for its sixth form. The school is praised for its high teaching standards and supportive environment for students.

The inspectors were really impressed with the teaching quality. They released a glowing report after visiting in December. The sixth form stood out, but the whole school got good marks too.
The report highlights how the school pushes students to aim high. Each classroom is named after a university, inspiring students to dream big. It’s all about helping them see their potential.
With over 1,200 students aged 11 to 18, the academy has a vibrant community. About 150 students are in the sixth form, which offers 20 A-Level subjects. They opened just last year, in September 2022.
The Ofsted report mentions how the sixth form creates a supportive space. It’s perfect for students who might struggle elsewhere. They get personalized pathways and expert teaching to help them shine.
The school believes that “everybody graduates.” They focus on giving every student a fair shot, no matter their background. It’s a place where everyone can thrive.
Many students speak English as a second language, and the school fosters a caring atmosphere. Pupils feel safe and valued, which is so important.
Principal Andy Smith is beaming with pride. He says the staff and students deserve this recognition for their hard work. The community is wonderfully diverse and talented, making this achievement even more special.
Mark Mallender, the CEO of Djanogly Learning Trust, shares the pride. He’s thrilled that the hard work of students and staff has been acknowledged in this fantastic report.
