London: NatWest is shutting down three branches this year. They’re closing the Notting Hill Gate branch on November 12 and the South Kensington branch on November 14. The Chingford branch will also close, but the date isn’t set yet.

Why are they closing? Well, not many people are using these branches. In fact, only a handful of customers visited them this year. Just 5, 8, and 11 customers used the South Kensington, Notting Hill Gate, and Chingford branches, respectively.

While online banking is super convenient, it’s tough for some folks. Campaigners worry that closing these branches hurts older people and those who aren’t comfortable with online banking. A survey showed that about 4.09 million people might struggle to manage their money online.

NatWest explained that banking habits have changed a lot. They see more demand for mobile and online services. They’re trying to keep up with that trend while also helping customers who prefer in-person banking.

They’re reaching out to customers affected by the closures. NatWest wants to ensure that everyone knows what’s happening and has the support they need. They promise to give 12 weeks’ notice before closing a branch, so customers have time to adjust.
