London: So, Maura Higgins, right? She just spilled the beans about why she turned down a spot on The Traitors and Love Island: All Stars. Can you believe it? The 34-year-old reality star, who was a finalist on Love Island back in 2019, said she might have considered The Traitors if her campmate Coleen Rooney wasn’t involved.
During a chat on ITV’s Loose Women, Maura admitted she had actually turned down The Traitors about a year ago. She was worried that people would figure her out too quickly. She joked that she’d probably prefer to be a traitor instead of a faithful, saying she likes to be a bit sneaky. But she’s not sure if she’ll ever join the show, even though she thinks it’s great.
For those who don’t know, The Traitors is all about contestants trying to figure out who among them are the “faithfuls” and who are the “traitors.” The traitors plot against the faithfuls, and if they make it to the end without being caught, they take home the prize money. It’s intense!
Maura also mentioned that she’s done with dating shows. When asked about Love Island: All Stars, she said she’s turned it down before and doesn’t want to go back. She joked about her dating life, saying she’s not in a relationship, even though there have been rumors about her and Pete Wicks from last year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Even though she’s turned down other shows, Maura felt ready to take on I’m A Celebrity. She talked about how she’s been working on her mental health and wanted to step out of her comfort zone. Sounds like she’s really embracing change!
