Greenwich Council is currently assessing various tree works and extension applications submitted in January 2025, inviting community feedback.

Greenwich: So, the council’s been busy checking out a bunch of applications this January. They’re looking at everything from tree trimming to home extensions.
For instance, at 668 Sidcup Road, they’re giving the green light for a single-storey rear extension. Sounds like a nice upgrade, right?
Then there’s 2 St Johns Park, where they want to trim a sycamore tree down by about 2 meters. And at 167-171 Eltham Road, they’re planning to pollard a lime tree to keep it manageable.
Over in Plumstead, they’re working on some sycamore trees at 218A-220A Burrage Road, doing a crown lift and reduction. It’s all about keeping those trees healthy!
In Mays Court, they’re looking to reduce a witch hazel tree by 2-3 meters. And at 5 Clayton Mews, they’re also reducing the height of an ash tree by 2 meters.
There are also plans for two single-storey rear extensions at 22 Little Heath in Charlton. Plus, they’re removing some trees at 51 Dickson Road due to health concerns.
They’ve got a lot on their plate, with applications for loft conversions and even some landscaping details being submitted. It’s a busy time for the council!
Residents are encouraged to check out the full details and share their thoughts on the Greenwich Borough Council’s Planning Portal. It’s a great way to stay involved in the community!
