Police have charged four men in connection with the tragic drive-by shooting of a mother in North West London

London: A tragic incident unfolded in North West London when a mother was shot dead in a drive-by shooting. Michelle Sadio, 44, was outside a church after attending a wake when the gunfire erupted.
Three men from Wembley have been charged with her murder. Perry Allen-Thomas, 26, is set to appear in court soon, while Amir Salem, 18, and Shaquille Sutherland, 24, are already in custody awaiting their next hearing.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke is leading the investigation and expressed gratitude for the community’s support. He mentioned that CCTV footage shared by locals has been crucial in gathering evidence.
Earlier, another suspect, Tahjin Sommersal, 18, was also charged with murder and other serious offenses. The police arrested five people in total, with two charged and three released on bail.
The shooting occurred during a wake for an elderly woman, and it was reported that a dark Kia pulled up, and shots were fired into a crowd that included young children. Michelle was tragically killed, while two others were injured but survived.
After the shooting, the Kia was found abandoned and set on fire nearby. Prosecutors indicated that the shooting stemmed from an ongoing gang dispute, highlighting the reckless nature of the attack.
Michelle’s husband, Jean-Marie, expressed his shock and heartbreak over the loss of his wife, emphasizing the impact on their children. Friends remembered her as a loving mother who worked hard for her family.
