Five men were arrested at London Bridge station for drug-related offenses. This operation aimed to tackle County Lines drug dealing in the area.

One man in his 20s caught the police’s attention when he pushed through ticket barriers. Officers searched him and found crack cocaine and heroin hidden on him. They later searched his home and discovered £4,000 in cash, a bag of cannabis, crystal rocks, and a burner phone.
This man was charged with possession with intent to sell and supplying Class A drugs. He appeared in court on February 3.
Two other men were also stopped by police. One, in his 30s, had two blocks of cannabis, while the other, in his 60s, was found with about £2,500 in cash. Both were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to sell Class B drugs.
Another man in his 60s was caught with multiple blocks of cannabis and scales. Police noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from him. He was arrested for possession of Class B drugs with intent to sell.
PC Lee Noble expressed satisfaction with the operation’s success. He emphasized the importance of tackling County Lines activity to protect vulnerable individuals from gangs. He assured that such operations could happen anytime and anywhere.
A man in his 20s was also arrested for failing to appear in court related to a previous investigation. Alongside the five arrests, there were 74 stop and searches and eight community resolutions issued.
This operation was part of a British Transport Police investigation aimed at identifying potential County Lines drug dealers. It involved collaboration with various police forces and support from immigration officers and local services.
The police are focused on disrupting gangs suspected of trafficking illegal drugs across England, Scotland, and Wales. They encourage the public to report any concerns about individuals using the railway network. Victims of exploitation may not always be obvious, so awareness is crucial.
