Dartford: A lorry crash happened around 2 PM today. It involved two lorries and caused major delays.

Right now, the northbound west bore tunnel at Dartford Crossing is still closed. Traffic is a mess, and drivers are feeling the pinch.

As of 5 PM, there were two hours of congestion before J3, the M20 Swanley interchange. Delays are stretching through Dartford, Stone, and Darenth, with heavy traffic on local roads.

A spokesperson from the South East Coast Ambulance Service said they got the call at about 2:02 PM. They reported a multi-vehicle accident in the Dartford Tunnel.

Emergency crews treated six patients at the scene. Five of them were taken to local hospitals for further care.

A National Highways spokesperson mentioned that the west bore tunnel remains closed after the crash. All vehicles are being rerouted through the east bore tunnel.

Long delays are expected throughout the afternoon. Drivers are advised to plan for extra travel time.

The police have been contacted for more information but haven’t responded yet.
