Millwall’s victory sets up a clash with Leeds in the FA Cup after a solid win against Dagenham & Redbridge

London: Alex Neil was pretty pleased with Millwall’s performance as they took down Dagenham & Redbridge 3-0 at The Den in the FA Cup. It was a solid showing, and the team really stepped up.
Goals from Mihailo Ivanovic, Casper De Norre, and debutant Ra’ees Bangura-Williams sealed the deal. The Lions scored two late goals, which really put the game out of reach for Dagenham.
After the match, Neil shared his thoughts on ITV, saying he enjoyed the game. He felt they moved the ball well and could have scored even more. Dagenham made it tough, but once Millwall got that second goal, it was pretty much game over.
Neil was especially happy to see young players like Bangura-Williams get on the scoresheet. It’s always a great moment when the youngsters shine, and you can see how much it means to them and the fans.
Even though Millwall has struggled to score in the Championship, they’ve found their rhythm lately, netting five goals in two games. But Neil is keeping his feet on the ground, knowing that the next match against Leeds will be a different challenge.
He mentioned that while the cup win was great, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll keep scoring like this in the league. Still, he’s hopeful that the team can build on this momentum and keep improving.
