Brixton: There’s a £20,000 reward out there for anyone who can help catch the people responsible for the murder of a teenager. James Akinwande, just 18, was tragically stabbed to death back in January 1994.

He had just left the Vox nightclub after a fight and ended up alone on Brixton Road. That’s when a big group of young men chased him down and attacked him.

James managed to break free from his jacket and ran toward a police van nearby. Sadly, he collapsed before the ambulance could get there.

He was rushed to King’s College Hospital but sadly didn’t make it due to stab wounds. He was wearing a unique red and dark blue FILA jacket that night, which was taken during the attack.

His family is still heartbroken over the loss. They remember him as a bright light, full of laughter and positivity. Losing him has left a huge void in their lives.

Detective Superintendent Katherine Goodwin is still on the case, even after all these years. She’s urging anyone who might have seen something back in 1994 to come forward. They really want to find out what happened that night.

So, if you have any info, don’t hesitate to reach out. It’s important to help bring some closure to James’ family after all this time.
